Sustainable Energy Conservation


The Village Hall Committee  has taken a real interest  in Sustainable Energy Conservation.

 Apart from its importance in its own right, the electricity bills for the Hall have become excessive in recent times and are likely to increase in the future
 

Insulation


Extra loft insulation has been installed to modern standards

The floor has been re-placed for cosmetic reasons,
however this has increased the insulation

The single skin walls dating from 1906 have been painted
with heat resistant paint
 

Door Heater


A programmable Heat curtain has been installed at the entrance door
 

Solar Panels


Solar Panels (photovoltaic) have been installed to provide electricity.  
The excess Energy generated will be sold back to the Grid

Double Glazing


Windows have been replaced with Double Glazed units
 

Air Source
Heat Pumps


Air Source Heat Pumps have been installed,
increasing the efficiency of the system

These may be used in summer for cooling
